I slept in until about 12. I was tired and needed to catch up on sleep. I did some studying. I went to a local Civil War battlefield with a few other people at 3. We got back at 5. The battlefield was pretty neat; very similar to Wilson's Creek. This place had more monuments and plaques, however. A lot of walking. We only saw part of it. Bigger than Wilson's Creek I believe. Had dinner. Need to study. Maybe do something else. Not sure.
Apparently our head cook left. From what I hear he was responsible for improving the food quality here. I hope the quality doesn't go down. It seems I get alot of fried food here. I've never had so many country fried steaks/veal/shrimp/chicken. There is some variety, but compared to the quantity of fried food I had back home this is alot.
Back to the OPC church tomorrow. I think I may continue to go there. Last week was the first Sunday I haven't had communion since I've arrived here. I think I'm 4/5 now. That is alot of communion-not that it's a bad thing. I like the once a month. Quarterly is too long, weekly is too much. I know it is not regulated in the Bible, but once a month seems about right to me.
