The Brief Blog
Went to church twice. There was a visitor from Oregon who was showing his son the campus and presenting a lecture tomorrow. He has been here before, but his son hadn't. He brought his son to see it, and offered to give a lecture if Covenant wanted one. Without explaining the details of how, I ended up riding with them so as to direct them towards the OPC church. They wanted to go, couldn't find info, and discovered I was going there. His name was Dr. Paul Otto. He knows/knew the Grotenhuises. Tell them b/c he said they would remember him.

i called the Grotenhuis's this morning and told Pastor Phil. as soon as I mentioned the name Dr. Paul Otto he started laughing (?)
he said he was a hippie at Dordt, but that people change (??)
so i'm guessing there are some inside stories here i am not aware of. anywho, he wanted to know how you liked the OPC.
school was ok today. i need to talk to Mr. Hall and sign up for a gym class next quarter, i'll do that tomorrow. i also need to return my spanish book and my value debate handbook.
we started reading the crucible today in english. it's interesting. i want to re-listen to that lecture of Matthew's on great american controversies or whatever that talked about what really happened at the salem witch trials from a Christain perspective. we are studying Hobbes and Locke in history. we had a class discussion today that i'm pretty sure continues tomorrow. i have a ton of stuff to do today. bleah. i hope i get it all done.
i talked a little bit to Gretchen on Sunday and said something about wanting to visit her up in Boliver sometime. she said she has a spare bed and we decided to do that sometime after Spring break. that should be fun.
anyways, i hope i gave the blog a sufficient feast today. maybe a few too many details.... think of those as the spices- some cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, mmmmm....

hi, are you sure that's the book you want? meghan isn't going tonight so unless matthew wants to go i'll wait till tomorrow to go to b & n. if you want you can use it when you're home for spring break if you're not sure what you want. weather has been nice here, i've been walking, riding bike today, thought i was going to die....no one here to "gots to protect!!!" let me know when you get the package and what you think of the pictures. talk to you later, oh by the way, did you make that phone call over the weekend? better get er done!!!! ME
