Due South

About ten years ago there was a tv show called Due South. I was about 11 or 12 when it was around, and I was obsessed with it. It was about this Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman who had to work in Chicago with an interesting and amusing Chicago detective. The show had a great impact on me. It aroused in me the most unusual childhood career fantasy. I wanted to grow up and move to Canada and become a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. That was my American dream...to become a Canadian citizen. That phase lasted for quite a long time actually. I still haven't grown out of it. Once I finish college I still plan to do it. No, not really.

I found the series on dvd at Best Buy recently, so I got it for my b-day. Oh, how I enjoy re-watching the long forgotten episodes. The music is actually good, and I even found some of it on iTunes.

So there is a seldom mentioned piece of my childhood for everyone in the world to see.

Hey, I just remembered how last summer I went to Canada for the first time. When we went to the Boundary Waters we crossed the border for a little while. That was my first time out of the US.
